How to look casual in boho style

It's very easy to create Boho chic look, just put on some vintage items from the 70s, wear your hair down, and wear fringe. But it's much more difficult to make it look casual. To wear it in everyday life we suggest you to use in your look one or two bohemian/ethnic pieces only. Otherwise you risk to look like John Lennon or a tribal princess.

Here is our suggestion for today:

Style icon Iris Apfel

Be brave, be cool, stand out, break the rules, open your creativity! That is the way to self-realisation,  Our number one style icon is Iris Apfel, free-spirited, eclectic and brave to set up her own rules in fashion instead of following mainstream.

Her collection of unique pieces combining the best items by top Paris and New York designers with antique tribal jewellery and accessorise like Bhutan arm bracelets, Tibet cuff bracelets, Tibet necklaces, Native American jewellery and belts, etc, was on display at the Met in 2005.

We see her legacy on the beaches of Ibiza, at runways of hottest designers and in Burning man costumes.

Boho babes of the XX century

Who were the style icons for Boho babes of the XXI century like Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and Olsen twins? Whos legacy they inherited and transformed into what we call nowadays Boho Chic?
Undoubtedly, Brigitte Bardot was one of free spirits at the time. Better known for discovering St Tropez we still owe her for bringing bohemian fashion to the village.

Another example is Jane Birkin, who shared with Bardot not only Serge Gainsbourg, but love for bohemian style. Her comfortable and often revealing clothes became her symbol as well as famous Hermes Birkin bag. Her choice was between jeans and shirts with deep decolettage and translucent boho dresses.

Elisabeth Taylor and Sophia Loren contribute their admiration of the style through numerous headpieces.

St Barth Boho Chic

St Barth - a meccah for movers and shakers, hot spot for celebrities and a setting for beautiful bikini shoots with world famous models. But do you know that island's spirit sets trends for international fashion? Every time people from all over the world gather on this small piece of land for a short period of time over New Year, they leave with style ideas in their minds. And this style is Bohemian.

Another chilled day on Gouverneur Beach
The style is amazing itself as it doesn't require too much effort from your side.

1.You don't have to straighten or blow dry your hair as you can wear a turban or bandana. Sun and wind dried natural hair is the key for the style.

2. You don't need to wear heels - flats all over - sandals, boots or even anklets will be perfect.

3.You don't have to have a perfect body - kimonos and overdresses will hide your curves.

 4. If you happen to have a perfect body you can always show it off in micro crochet shorts and cropped tops

 5. Long skirts will make you look taller and your waist smaller
